Today (Jan 22) at Notchview in Windsor MA was awesome for cross country. A gazillion folks came but the trails easily accommodated them. Conditions were supurb and the tracks were great.

Ski conversion

In the process of turning a pair of 193 Volkyl P40 GS into Rondonee skis for adventure in the Norwegian mountains. Will it work? Answers in about 40 hours. Alpine Trekkers and Technica boots from Kirby and the Ski Fanatics.

Butternut in good shape

We skied Butternut yesterday and today (1/6) and it was in great shape considering. Most of the trails were open and it was packed powder with very little ice. Photo is of Butternut last year (we took it from a Cherokee airplane).

Where is winter?

East or west… doesn’t matter… snow guns are like gold this year. We’re still skiing but sure is different from last year.
